Who is Tags4ID for?  This service really is for everyone.  Due to the nature of the service, outdoor enthusiasts, extreme sports enthusiasts, children, college students, motorcyclists, joggers, bicyclists, hikers, campers, etc. would be benefit the most.  These groups are most likely to either not have regular identification on their person or at risk of losing it in a accident.  You can also use this service for your pets.

How does Tags4ID work?  TAGS4ID.com provides each subscriber with specially made military type dog tags that provide information about their identity & contacts in case of emergency.

The subscriber can log into the Tags4ID site at any time and update/change their information and their contacts information.  This is basic phonebook type data, a sort of digital next of kin list.

If a subscriber has had an accident and is unable to communicate their identity to rescuers, the rescuers can contact the emergency Tags4ID service, through the website address listed on the dog tags, and ascertain basic identity and emergency contact information.  Our emergency website is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

How much does Tags4ID cost?  The service is $20 for lifetime access*.  One set of military grade dog tags, with silencers of your color choice, is included.  There are several different colored dog tag silencers you can choose from so you can customize the look of the dog tags to your own preference and personality.

Why should I sign up?  There are many John & Jane Does that end up in the hospital alone while law enforcement tries to ascertain their identity and notify their families.  Accidents happen.  Wallets get lost or destroyed in accidents.  Our subscription price is a small cost for the piece of mind that your family will know where you are.  Its a small price to pay to know where your injured family member is.

In addition, if you have a pet, these dog tags could be affixed to their collar helping to insure that your pet is quickly identified if lost and/or injured.

What personal information is stored?  Basically, mostly public information.  The following is a complete list of what we store in our secure database:

Subscriber's ID**, access code **, password, name, e-mail address, street address, city, state, zip code, home phone, & work phone.  Subscriber's emergency contacts' street address, city, state, zip code, home phone, work phone, & mobile phone.

We also now allow you to store emergency medical information (blood type and a field for special conditions and allergies) that would be essential to rescue personnel.

You choose how much information you want to provide.  We recommend that you provide as much contact information as possible so that the service can be as valuable as possible.

Who can access my emergency contacts information?  Only those with both your Tags4ID identification number and your code number can access your information from our emergency lookup site. Your Tags4ID identification number and code number are private and can only be viewed by physically accessing your dog tags.

What if I lose my Tags4ID.com dogtags?  Contact us at info@tags4id.com and we will arrange for a new set to be sent to you.  A replacement sets costs $10.

What are the numbers next to the links?  On some cell phone browsers, you can enter the number next to the link, when browsing, to quickly go to the link.

Why is the website so bland?  The website is optimized for use on mobile devices and should work properly on all web-enabled cell phones, as well as on all standard computer web browsers.  To make the service faster and more accessible, we opted to sacrifice design for functionality.

* Lifetime access is for as long as this website remains in service.  We expect to be around for many years to come.

** The ID and access CODE will be imprinted on the dogtags.
